Baby Sleep Exhaustion

Baby Sleep Saga Continues

What happened to the sweet baby babble as we fell asleep each night?  I thought we had a deal.  The baby could sleep with us in our bed and in return, she would easily babble beside me and then nurse to sleep without a fight.   Well someone reneged on their end of the bargain.  20151010_104226.jpg

It started a few nights ago.  She decided rather than nurse and sleep she wanted to use Daddy’s back to pull up and stand, and then let go and fall.  She thought it was funny, but she was happy, so we thought it was cute.

Eventually, she got tired and went to sleep.

Then all H broke loose two nights ago.

She had decided that she must now climb over mommy and get to the things on the night stand.  It is a matter of life or screaming.

She wants the books and journal and bookmark and glasses and contacts and contact solution and pill bottle . . . most of all the pill bottle.

We had over an hour of try to crawl over mom, scream when stopped, get worn out, nurse for a second, get a second wind, and start the process again.

And it got worse last night.  Until last night, once she was asleep, she was asleep.  And when she woke up nurse, she just stirred a little fussed or smiled, but never moved.

But not last night.

Last night, after being asleep for at least 30 minutes, she half awoke and started crawling for the nightstand AGAIN.  That started another 30 minutes of ‘fun.’

This stage needs to end.  Soon.
