This whole trip was an amazing gift.  Everywhere we went we we seemed to arrive at the perfect time and got the perfect table.  God likes to bless us, if we will let him, if we will open our arms to accept it, slow down and notice it.

I woke up one morning thinking about God feeds the birds of the air and how they soar through the air without a care in the world.  God takes even better care of us, and yet so often I spend my days worrying and getting far less than the birds.  later at the beach I got a perfect visual of the freedom of birds

I also told your dad that I felt like a beached whale and he proceeded to call me a beached whale for several weeks until I explained to him that that was a mean thing to say and when I made that initial comment that he was supposed to disagree with me.

I do recommend relationships with people from different cultures and who speak different languages.  It makes it easier to always suspect that it’s just a misunderstanding.  Most things are a misunderstanding, but when they are from another land, you tend to assume the best, rather than the worst.
