Sharing Memories

For Shah, this moment he first held Zoya’s hand was pure magic. He often talked about it. The light in his eyes as he looked at her never faded.

Last night Zoya and I watched lots of videos of her and her daddy. I want her to remember as best she can. She would pause from watching and stand up and kiss the picture of daddy’s feet above our bed and say, I kissed Daddy. We were a kissing family and we’ve been kissing his photos since he died.

In her sleep, she kept saying “play with daddy.”  I hope she got to in her dreams. Her daddy first met Jesus in his dreams. I hope she can play with her daddy in her dreams.
