Grief

Home Again

So we are home, and everyone is quite sick.

While walking around the Orlando Airport with all it’s Disney paraphernalia, what this girl really wanted was the airplane. I actually had no trouble getting her to leave today because we were going to fly on an airplane. Her daddy’s daddy was a pilot and her daddy loved planes. She seems equally enchanted.

I was apparently sick a year ago, and full of deep thoughts about slowing down and all things pointing is back to the creator.

Today, I’m sick and tired, and miss this beautiful, happy man who was playing with his daughter and her hairbow a year ago today. He would be making me lemon ginger tea. He always did when I was sick.

It’s not all vacations and play.

But the lessons I’ve learned, the gifts I’ve been given, and the hope I have, doesn’t change just because we get sick.

I’m too tired to be full of seep thoughts today, so I’ll just share the rest of the photos from our amazing trip. Pretty much backwards, from this morning through yesterday…
