They say if you have a migraine, you know it. But love is not like a migraine. You can be loved more than life itself, and not know it and not feel it.
Shah loved me. Others knew it. He knew it. I know it now. I didn’t fully comprehend it when he was alive. His heart was so big I couldn’t fully take it in. I wish I had.
In the same way, only on a much grander scale, God loves us. Even if we can’t feel it. Even if we dont know it. It’s why Paul prayed that we would be able to comprehend God’s love. In this broken world, it is hard to know you are loved.
Right now, I feel like I am being taught to learn that I am loved. I
After the prompting of several conversations and a class on self-care that I took at the conference last week, I decided to try to do some restorative things even if I didn’t feel like it. I’ve never liked the term self-care, so I thought of it as things someone who loved me would encourage me to do.
I found lists that others put together very helpful because when we most need restoration we often don’t feel like doing anything
So I went to bed early with the baby.
