Grief

Moments

This moment was captured on a hayride yesterday. Neither of us were feeling that great, but we keep living.

It’s a day when hope is so important. It won’t always be this way. Not only in the next world, but here in the land of the living. “I would have dispaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”  I’m glad the writer of this psalm felt the same way I do and feel like we need more than the hope of heaven. We need hope for better days here on earth.

I took Zoya to Urgent Care today for a fever and a sore on her chin. We then had to go to multiple pharmacies to find her antibiotic in stock.  It was a first doing anything like this without him. It was also the first time I saw a note in her chart that her father was recently killed in an a carjacking. I’m glad that note is there. I want everyone who comes in contact with us to know him. He is still a part of us and since you can’t see that, I’m glad there is a record to let you know.
