Grief

Breakfast Inspiration

After my husband died, one of the first things I wanted to be back to normal was breakfast. Breakfast was always the meal I easily skipped, but breakfast and slow mornings were so important to my husband that I grew to treasure them.

The overwhelming exhaustion of grief, coupled with a tricky working widow mom, night owl co-sleeping baby,  babysitter aunt situation, hasn’t allowed me to continue normal breakfasts, but it is on my list of important things I want to resume once I get my feet back under me.

But in the meantime, there is nothing like a good breakfast, suggested and started by my sister, to inspire a solid push towards bringing back the good, slow family traditions we had developed, and help me feel his smiling presense.
