We are still in the San Francisco Bay area though we have hardly seen San Francisco. I’m trying to take advantage of every moment so I don’t have a lot of time to post right now. I’m going to put up some photos and go back and edit later, maybe when I get home.
Home now, so I can write a little. I think all of my other really awesome trips have made me start thinking about how I can change my everyday life, and started me thinking about job changes and moving to new places. I think I have finally found true contentment, because as I was wandering through Muir Woods, having an absolutely perfect day, I was just struck with feelings of gratitude for my job that allows us to go on trips like this. This trip didn’t motivate me to change anything, but just further cemented my desire to enjoy the blessings of each day.
We have had several blessings and several expensive issues in the last year, none the least of which was $12,000 last month, to connect to the sewer. But still, God has provided, time and time again.
So for some travel tips. Go to Sausalito! It is a beautiful quiet town on the bay. We spent two hours, but I’d like to spend a full night. It was like Bluffton, SC vs Hilton Head, SC. It is the small quiet town with tons of charm, beside the huge busy more famous town. It is very easy with a baby and a stroller.

Muir Woods
Muir Woods was magical and like I said, it was a place of revelation and contentment for me. Again, it was very easy with the baby. Many people had jogging strollers on the trail. We carried her in the Baby Bjorn. There were signs everywhere to keep a natural quiet, and so I hope they considered her constant babbling, natural.
We have found she loves all ducks, maybe all animals though she is a little frightened of bushes and trees, if they get too close.
Oakland and apartment
At the end of the day there was a street fair in front of our Oakland apartment. Everything I read about Oakland before hand was negative. People badly need to update their travel guides. Oakland is probably the most “up and coming” city I have ever been in. If I had money to invest . . . It was the perfect location for traveling both into San Francisco and to the surrounding area. Friend’s with empty apartments are the best!
