Coffee Again

Have I really been competing in life against coffee drinkers all these years?How on earth have I managed to vaguely keep up?  I know how the rare clean athlete must feel when competing against the steroid filled men.
My husband summed it up well last night when he said coffee was now his reason to get up in the morning. The baby sleeps in so she doesn’t provide much motivation.
We keep checking in with each other. How are we doing, drinking coffee everyday?  Though what we are really asking is, is your body still coping with this drug induced energy high?  Any side effects yet?  I mean I do wonder if we will be able to keep this up and what kind of withdrawal we would suffer if we took a break.
We hardly ever make little grocery shopping trips. We usually do one huge trip every week or so. But Sunday night we were out of creamer and though we will go without milk, bread, rice, cheese, and just about everything else except toilet paper; we didn’t even consider not going to the store for creamer. I mean seriously people, Nestlé’s Coffee Mate is what it’s really all about. I even had some in my tea again last night, because I know coffee has to be a morning only thing. Can’t get too crazy. I’m getting enough accomplished during the day. Physically my body is exhausted from all the work, but I just keep going and going.
Bad guys better watch out. I may be putting a lot more away this year. And they have only themselves and coffee to blame.
