I want today to be more than a day of distracted happiness, though I am smiling at the sounds of my niece and nephew downstairs who apparently just saw their presents left under the tree.

I’m praying for true joy for lol who are grieving that only comes with hope.

Hope that he who came as a baby in the manger will come again. For some, I know the only bright spot this morning is that they are one day closer to a reunion, one day closer to Christ’s return.

Hallelujah, we survived the night. Christ the Savior is born.
