When I took this picture a year ago, I saw our baby. Now, I see a hand, an ear, an elbow, a torso. I see the clasp of his necklace that I am now wearing just under her left arm. I see the string from the bag of lavender we got our our first trip together.
As holiday season approaches, don’t forget to see and appreciate those around you. Don’t get so caught up in the food and football, clothing and even children, that you forget everyone else.
Take a moment, take many moments, to BE STILL AND BREATHE, and look around and savor those beside you; not only because you never know when they will be gone, but because they are human beings, precious and made in the image of God.
