Grief

Sushi

I had to mark today the best way I knew how, with sushi.
Sushi without him seems so wrong, and it was so painful, and I just wanted him to walk through the door and we could hug and kiss and I could show him to Zoya and watch her face light up.
But sushi was us. It was how we celebrated. So to celebrate God answering a prayer today for a sign and provisions, I had sushi.
And I just want him back.
