I’m a Real Mother Now – I Drink Coffee

image

After 37 years of averaging one cup of coffee every two YEARS, and then a pregnancy where I found two cups a month was a good pattern, I have become a coffee drinker. I believe I have had a coffee drink more days than not this week. It all started the week I went back to work and someone gave me a cup of coffee with caramel creamer. It was awesome. And unlike in my pre-baby days I did not start shaking and sweating from the caffeine. Instead, I made it through the meeting with both eyes open. Then we started staying with my brother and sister-in-law when we would be in Franklin and they make awesome coffee. Before I knew it I had a new love.
I still hope I don’t get dependant. I want to live on sleep, not caffeine. But coffee is good. And some days, it’s useful.
So now I have something new to study:

I don’t do things half way.
