It Is Friday

It is Friday. That means this roller coaster should stop soon. It’s been crazy.
This adorable thing stayed with a friend for a few hours yesterday whole mommy and daddy went to a fundraiser for CLAWS, a non-profit for civil attorneys fighting human trafficking. Before that I had a day full of meetings at different places out of the office and had to figure out unique places to pump.
Tuesday, Daddy got called in to work last minute so baby and I had a surprise girls night at the food truck with friends.
Tuesday, I also had lunch with the former head of NCIS. The real one, not the TV one. I’m not that interested in TV or movie actors, but real live law enforcement makes for a great lunch companion. I hadn’t thought of it before but now I have a better idea of my answer to who would you most like to have dinner with, alive or dead. At least I have a new category.
Wednesday?  We went shopping to by daddy clothes for last night’s date night. I think we did a great job.

And now Friday.
I have to speak at a conference this morning and I still don’t have my slides together. And later I have an interview for some documentary. And I really want to get some bad guys locked up.
But at 5:00 it ends.
I’m turning off this work life balance game and getting to know baby again.
And hopefully I’ll have time to share some more thoughts.
