Week 20

1012952_10152888972643119_3813472989454651637_nWe found out on December 23rd that we are having a girl. We couldn’t be more excited.  On Christmas Eve, we told our family the gender at the same time my brother and sister-in-law told the gender of their baby.  They are due two days after us, but I have a feeling they are really a few days ahead of us. My mom wanted us to have a girl so badly she couldn’t stand it.  She was convinced my brother and I were having two different genders, but she was wrong.  Two girls.

I’m enjoying pregnancy.  Even the aches, sickness and exhaustion make me happy, because they are just signs that I’m really pregnant and really have a baby, a daughter.  I haven’t had any strong cravings yet, but I’m starting to want to eat Velveeta Shells and Cheese every day.  I’m hoping I reach that stage where things are just really awesome.  Milk is pretty awesome, so maybe I’m getting there.  I’m not as tired as I was before.  In the last two weeks I’ve been able to stay awake past 6:30.  It’s a good thing, because suddenly I’m realizing that I have four and a half months before she arrives and we haven’t done a thing.

Baba loves to read baby names.  He’s woken me up in the morning reading names and kept me up at night reading names.  But for quite a while we have been settled on the name Zoya as our favorite.  I think we first came up with it when we were in Naples visiting my grandparents for Thanksgiving.  Before that we were going between Arisa and Anastasia most of the time.  I like other names, Serenity, Ziba, Ziva, Serenna, Bianca, Bridget, but I think her name is Zoya.
