Experimenting with Nature

My daughter is obsessed with experimenting right now. It used to be dinosaur experiments, now it’s space experiments. She also thinks mixing any two things she finds in the kitchen might create a volcano like reaction. It’s a fun stage. We went for a little hike in the woods and she was pretending like we were going from planet to planet and when she thought she saw a footprint for once it wasn’t a dinosaur footprint. It was an alien footprint. (It was a leaf.)

I’m doing my own experiments. While I read this book about the effects of spending 3 days in nature Zoya and I are quasi camping with the goal of seeing what happens to my clarity, mood, and brain while being outside for the next three days.

The clock started when we left our house, though since I watered all the plants before I left, I could have started it earlier.

Literally, I started the stopwatch on my phone. I have an hour and a half left in the book but I’m reading it at nearly double time because as interested as I am in the science at the end of the book, I rarely like interview style audiobooks. Edit it down, and write a book.

It’s seriously quasi camping. Climate controlled room with a comfortable bed, a walk to a full stand alone bathroom, and a big screened area with a fridge, grills, kitchen, and a TV (that we will avoid.)

Hoping to be a more healed human by Wednesday.
